Question by None: Can I use and old Cingular sim card and phone on a go phone plan?
Can I use and old sim card and register it as a go phone online and still buy cards and use it? And does the phone have to be unlocked (because i might think i have one somewhere)

Just so your know iPhones (except original one) and blackberry’s cannot be used on prepaid. Any other AT&T phone can be used on prepaid.You would just use your sim card in the phone and sign up for a plan. It does not need to be unlocked.

Question by steve c: Do online prepaid phone cards need to be reported on a tax return?
I purchased some prepaid cards last year online for t-mobile. They charged me 7% sales tax on it, but I know that new jersey requires that you report it because it wasn’t taxed by the state of new jersey. I don’t know if I need to report it because I’m not sure if t-mobile charged me New jersey sales tax.

Technically, you are supposed to pay state sales tax on items you buy online if the vendor does not charge the tax. I suspect most people ignore this.
